Tails of Iron 2 Whiskers of Winter is the sequel to the acclaimed action role playing game developed by Odd Bug Studio and published by United Label. Released on January 28, 2025, the game is available on multiple platforms including Steam Nintendo Switch PlayStation 4 PlayStation 5 Xbox One Xbox Series X/S Linux and macOS.
In this installment players assume the role of Arlo the heir to the Warden of the Wastes. The Tails of Iron 2 narrative follows Arlos journey through the harsh northern territories a land besieged by giant beasts & marauding bandits. His mission is to unite various factions to confront an ancient bloodthirsty evil known as the Dark Wings which have mysteriously escaped their imprisonment posing a dire threat to the kingdom.
Visually Tails of Iron 2 retains its distinctive hand-drawn 2D art style reminiscent of medieval illustrations which adds a unique charm to the games dark and immersive world. The environments are richly detailed depicting snow covered landscapes icy plains & hidden settlements that reflect the games wintry setting and darker themes.
Narration by Doug Cockle known for his work in The Witcher series enriches the storytelling, providing a compelling backdrop to Arlos quest.
